Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Junior Research Associate to join our team in the Gastroenterology and Hepatology Division within the Department of Medicine at HKU.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a diverse team on research initiatives focused on gastrointestinal and hepatology conditions.
  • Oversee clinical trial operations, including participant recruitment and data gathering, as well as conducting assessments on participants.
  • Handle biological samples, including human stool specimens.
  • Conduct statistical evaluations related to gut microbiota.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher, ideally in Life Sciences, Biological Sciences, Public Health, or a related field.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with strong organizational and communication abilities.
  • A solid sense of accountability.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese).
  • Able to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Prior experience in research projects is highly advantageous.
