Position: Junior Research Associate in Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine

The role of Junior Research Associate is available in the Department of Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, focusing on community-based research initiatives. This position is temporary or fixed-term, with potential for extension based on performance.

Qualifications: Candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree or higher in biomedical sciences, public health, or related healthcare fields. Preference will be given to those with experience in epidemiological research.

Skills Required: Proficiency in written English and spoken Cantonese is essential. Candidates should be adept in Microsoft Office applications and possess strong problem-solving, communication, organizational, and administrative skills. A self-motivated and committed approach is crucial, along with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities: The appointee will engage in studies examining the epidemiology and vaccine responses of respiratory virus infections in the local community. Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with data collection and entry
  • Preparing reports and presentations
  • Providing administrative support
  • Performing additional duties as assigned

On-the-job training will be available for those interested in pursuing further academic qualifications.
