Job Title: Technician/Handyman

We are seeking an experienced Technician/Handyman to join our team at Clayton Hotel Amsterdam American. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the property is maintained to a high standard and that safe working practices are followed at all times.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily workloads effectively, ensuring the efficient use of resources and completing tasks such as painting, updating walls, ceilings, and woodwork.
  • Carry out maintenance tasks, including preventative maintenance routines, in areas such as tiling, plumbing, and carpentry.
  • Investigate and resolve issues with processes, equipment, instrumentation, and control systems.
  • Ensure all maintenance procedures are up-to-date and that repairs are carried out in a timely manner.
  • Assist plumbers and electricians in resolving defects or malfunctions in hotel systems.
  • Provide assistance and direction to contractors working on-site.
  • Contribute to the routine maintenance and upkeep of hotel facilities and services.
  • Interact with all departments of the hotel.
  • Manage and coordinate the delivery of maintenance management support services.
  • Ensure all work is carried out to the highest professional and safety standards.
  • Adhere to applicable Health and Safety legislation, policies, and best practice guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Previous hospitality experience is desirable.
  • Safe pass certification is desirable.
  • Qualifications in one or more trades, including painting, heating, plumbing, and construction, are desirable.
  • Be self-motivated and able to prioritize work.
  • Be standards-driven and detail-oriented.
  • Have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Have flexibility regarding working hours.
  • Have a good command of the English language.
