Job Title: Software & Systems Engineer / PostDoc for Edge-Enabled and Quantum-Safe Networks

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled software engineer or postdoctoral researcher to join our team at Eindhoven University of Technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and deploying software components required for modern edge-enabled and quantum-safe communications networks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement software systems for network control and management, including SDN network control and orchestration platforms.
  • Develop and deploy software components for network monitoring and management functionality.
  • Collaborate with researchers to deploy and operate the quantum-safe communications testbed.
  • Conduct design reviews to demonstrate functionality and security best practices.
  • Prepare and maintain product documentation, including data sheets, instruction manuals, and project notebooks.
Requirements:
  • PhD or master's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Experience in telecommunication networks, network architectures, management, and control, or software defined network control and management.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Working knowledge of software development processes, tools, and procedures.
About the Team:

We are a dynamic team of researchers and engineers working on the development of secure and robust optical and radio communications systems. We are part of the Quantum & Terahertz Systems (QTS) lab within the Electro-Optical Communications (ECO) group at Eindhoven University of Technology.
