About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Research Associate, Protein Analytics to join our team at Genmab. As a key member of our Protein Analysis & Labeling team, you will be responsible for leading and motivating a team of research associates in the biochemical characterization of proteins and protein conjugation activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of research associates in the biochemical characterization of proteins and protein conjugation activities.
  • Data Review and Analysis: Apply your up-to-date knowledge of proteins and biochemical techniques to review and analyze data obtained by your team.
  • Team Deliverables: Be responsible for team deliverables, quality criteria of protein, and management of resources and materials.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to reviewing and writing of Standard Operating Procedures within your area of expertise and drive process improvement projects within the team and department.
  • Digital System Projects: Contribute to digital system projects, automation, and data handling.
  • Scientific Communication: Document scientific results in presentations, reports, and relevant meetings.
Requirements
  • Education: Hold a MSc degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, or Biotechnology focused on protein characterization with at least 5 years of relevant work experience, or hold a PhD in one of these disciplines.
  • Team Management Experience: Have team management experience, focusing on the personal and professional development of your direct reports.
  • Technical Expertise: Have broad knowledge and experience with the most common protein purification and bioanalytical techniques, such as HPLC/UPLC, electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE, CE-SDS, native), and endotoxin testing.
  • Analytical Skills: Be skilled in reviewing analytical data and maintain high-quality standards with attention to detail.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Excel at prioritizing and managing multiple tasks efficiently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Quality Focus: Be motivated by delivering high-quality output and be used to working according to a quality system.
  • Process-Oriented: Be process-oriented and enjoy optimizing processes to enhance efficiency and possess strong problem-solving skills.
  • Data Science Interest: Have an interest in data science, automation, and data handling.
  • Communication Skills: Have excellent communication skills and be proactive.
  • Team Player: Be a strong team player and collaborate effectively with colleagues within the team and in project and expert teams.
  • Language Skills: Have professional business-level English language skills, both written and verbal.
