Job Description

As a Helmsman GVBW with Unilloyd, you will be responsible for navigating our LNG-powered inland tankers on the Rhine River. Your duties will include loading and unloading cargo, performing deck work, and assisting with administrative tasks when necessary.

The Rhine River is a critical transportation route, and as a Helmsman GVBW, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods. Our vessels are equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and accommodation, providing a comfortable working environment.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must possess the following valid certificates and diplomas:

  • Sailor Licence AB;
  • Rhine patent for the Dutch part of the Rhine;
  • VHF radio certificate;
  • Radar diploma;
  • ADN Basic.

In addition to these requirements, you must have a good command of the Dutch language, both verbally and in writing. You should also have a good command of nautical English and German, as these languages are commonly used in the industry.
