Sourcing Specialist

Action is a leading international retailer with a strong presence in the market. Our Sourcing department plays a crucial role in managing and developing our supply chain, ensuring that we have the best possible partners to support our growth ambitions.

The Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for securing Action's purchases by identifying and partnering with the most suitable suppliers. This role will involve coordinating with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure seamless order management and timely delivery of products.

• Identify and qualify potential suppliers based on their capabilities, capacity, and quality standards.
• Manage the supplier search process, including pre-qualification, product offers, and post-order activities.
• Act as the primary point of contact for suppliers, coordinating with them to ensure timely delivery and quality standards.
• Travel to visit suppliers and trade fairs to establish new relationships and manage existing ones.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure that orders are executed according to agreed timelines.

• Explore and maintain a network of European direct manufacturers to build and develop our supply chain.
• Travel to trade fairs to source new suppliers and meet existing ones.
• Pre-qualify potential new suppliers based on their set-up, products, production capacity, quality, and logistical standards.
• Travel to suppliers in different countries for pre-negotiation, supplier onboarding, and factory screening.
• Facilitate and coordinate factory evaluations and audits with our quality and sustainability teams.
• Prepare and participate in buying trips with the buying team, including quotations, sample arrangement, and trip planning.
• Manage the administrative aspect of sourcing, including data collection, verification, and recording.
• Monitor production trends, novelty items, and competitors to identify opportunities and threats.

• Coordinate the administrative process for orders, including data input to Action systems.
• End-to-end order follow-up, including contract, shipment plan, sample arrangement, artwork arrangement, inspection follow-up, and shipment follow-up.

• Bachelor's degree in Purchase, Commerce, Supply Chain, or Management
• Over 3 years of work experience in sourcing/purchasing, preferably within retail
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Experience in cross-functional cooperation
• Excellent oral and written knowledge of English. Polish as a first or second language preferred
