Job Description

Overview

Oracle is seeking a highly skilled Data Center Technician to join our team in Amsterdam. As a key member of our data center operations team, you will be responsible for the design, operation, and maintenance of our cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a technical liaison between technology teams and the data center environment
  • Troubleshoot and solve hardware issues
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and introduce automation
  • Participate in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all production server hardware
  • System board level repair and fault diagnosis to SLAs
  • Planning and commissioning new rack positions
  • Structured cabling installation and maintenance

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in IT infrastructure support and server administration in a mid-sized environment
  • Demonstrated examples of a drive to dig into the details of a system or process to solve customer problems
  • Experience working in a mission-critical operations environment
  • Strong adherence to processes and a Process Champion
  • Good communication skills and ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of customers and staff

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud infrastructure and services
  • Knowledge of structured cabling and network fundamentals
  • Ability to work productively in remote cross-functional teams
