iIyama International is a leading manufacturer of computer monitors, boasting consistent growth in the competitive IT market. Our European operation is headed by senior management from our Netherlands headquarters, supported by subsidiaries in France, Germany, Poland, and the UK, along with representative offices in Taiwan and Russia.

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Finance Manager to support our Financial Controller and CFO in managing the finance department. This role will focus on financial reporting, compliance, VAT, treasury with a strong emphasis on operational efficiency and financial controls. The Assistant Finance Manager will have the opportunity to grow within the company and potentially transition into the Finance Manager role.

Our ideal candidate thrives in a medium-sized international work environment, is not afraid to roll up their sleeves to meet business needs, and has a clear motivation to develop their own career in the accounting/finance department. This is a position to get involved with various accounting tasks and work closely with the entire department.

Your Responsibilities:
Support day-to-day transactions such as accounts payable, cash receipts, and accounts receivable, and payroll are recorded properly (~ fixed assets, investments, revenue, expenses, payroll allocations, etc.), ensuring that accounting schedules are updated and accurate
~ Monitoring cash and investment balances and performing cash flow forecasting including liaising with banks
~ Assisting the CFO and Financial controller in departmental projects
~ Support the continuous improvement of the accounting/finance operations
~ Leading the analysis of monthly and quarterly numbers and presenting findings to the CFO
~ Support an end-to-end audit process of current systems – while acting as the first point of contact for external auditors
~ Prepare and analyze financial statements and performance reports
~ Support compliance with international and local accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial policies
~ Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial alignment with business strategies
~ Work closely with external auditors, tax authorities, and financial institutions as needed
~ Liaise with outsourced accountancy firms in France, Germany, Poland, and the UK
~ Handle administrative duties assigned by the CFO and Financial controller

Requirements:
Associate degree in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or HBO+ preferred.
~7 + years of relevant, financial accounting experience
~ Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) with expertise in Excel required
~ Sound knowledge of accounting principles and TAX regulations such as CIT and VAT
~ Proficiency and hands-on experience with financial management software (e.g., Experience in annual audits
~ Written and spoken English (business level) and Dutch (preferred)
