Are you ready to advance your professional journey? In the role of Senior Environmental Consultant, you will be pivotal in our mission to Enhance Society Together, particularly within the offshore wind industry in the North Sea. Your expertise will prepare our clients for current challenges and future opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Environmental Consultant, you will navigate the intricate environmental and marine ecological dimensions of offshore wind initiatives globally. Your contributions will ensure responsible, sustainable, and compliant practices that benefit society while safeguarding marine ecosystems. Your services will encompass Feasibility Studies, Environmental and Social Impact Assessments, Due Diligence, and support for project proponents.

In this capacity, you will:

  • Provide strategic advice to clients, including project developers and governmental organizations, on environmental and social performance;
  • Collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders to effectively integrate environmental and social considerations into projects;
  • Work alongside multidisciplinary teams of engineers, environmental specialists, ecologists, and social experts;
  • Mentor junior team members and support their professional growth.

Our Business Line Water & Maritime focuses on sustainable practices at the forefront of climate resilience and maritime projects worldwide.

As a Senior Environmental Consultant, you will be integrated into the advisory group focused on Resilience & Maritime, collaborating with approximately 180 colleagues, including 25 specialists in the Green Ports & Energy Projects Team. The primary language of communication within this group is English.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should possess a strong interest and extensive experience in executing environmental and social performance projects on a global scale. Your qualifications include:

  • A Master’s degree in environmental management or ecology;
  • Over 10 years of proven experience in environmental advisory roles within both Dutch and international contexts;
  • In-depth knowledge of environmental performance requirements in offshore wind development;
  • Familiarity with the Dutch EIA process and regulations is advantageous;
  • Proficient writing and speaking skills in English; knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
