Job Summary

As the Director of Human Resources, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of INSO's HR function. You will be responsible for developing and implementing HR policies and procedures that support the organization's mission and goals. This includes leading the HR team at HQ and providing guidance and support to HR managers in each country office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies that align with INSO's overall business objectives.
  • Lead the HR team at HQ and provide guidance and support to HR managers in each country office.
  • Recruit, manage, and mentor HR staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to support the organization's goals.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that support the organization's mission and goals.
  • Provide HR support to INSO's Senior Management Team and ensure that HR issues are addressed in a timely and effective manner.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of INSO staff.
  • Manage HR-related risks and ensure that INSO complies with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement HR metrics and reporting to measure the effectiveness of HR initiatives.
  • Provide HR support to INSO's programs and departments to ensure that HR issues are addressed in a timely and effective manner.

Requirements

  • Masters (MSc/MA) level education in Human Resources Management or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in HR management in a humanitarian or development setting.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a senior leadership role.
  • Demonstrable and extensive experience in policy, strategy, and contracting, compliance, risk management, and duty of care, safeguarding and employee relations, compensation and benefits, recruitment and HRIS, and change management.
  • Experience as part of a Senior Management Team.
  • Experience leading and supporting teams across multiple countries.
  • High level of emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
