About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Floor Team Member at Pulitzer Amsterdam. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Greet and welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner, assist with seating options, and address customer inquiries and concerns.
  • Seating and Table Management: Manage the seating chart, allocate tables efficiently, and coordinate with the host/hostess to optimize table turnover.
  • Communication: Maintain effective communication with the host/hostess, kitchen staff, and servers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Assistance to Servers: Support servers in delivering food and beverages to tables, assist with clearing and resetting tables, and communicate with servers to coordinate service timing.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of the dining area, clear debris, and maintain a tidy appearance of floors and furniture.
  • Customer Assistance: Assist customers with special requests, provide additional utensils, napkins, or condiments, and be attentive to customer needs.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with the kitchen staff, servers, and other floor team members to achieve a positive and cooperative team environment.
  • Health and Safety: Adhere to health and safety regulations, report any safety concerns or issues to management, and follow proper hygiene practices.
  • Training and Development: Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge of menu items and service standards, stay informed about restaurant promotions and policies, and seek opportunities for personal and professional growth.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations calmly.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.
  • Basic knowledge of restaurant operations and customer service principles.
