Business Development Manager - Cyber Security & Privacy
As a Business Development Manager, you will be tasked with identifying and cultivating new business opportunities within Technology accounts while addressing commercial requirements alongside team capabilities. Collaborating closely with the Senior Sales Manager, Partners, and Directors, you will ensure the sales framework operates efficiently. A robust understanding of KPMG's business model, financial metrics, Technology offerings, unique selling propositions, and the market dynamics relevant to your assigned Key Performance Indicators is essential.

Your Responsibilities
  • People Development: Inspire and influence team members to adopt a commercial perspective. You may lead colleagues through the sales process to identify, develop, and prioritize opportunities.
  • Business Development: Assist in achieving established account and business objectives for a defined set of clients. Coordinate business development and sales initiatives in collaboration with other Sales roles and/or Directors or Partners across accounts or sectors. You should possess knowledge and experience in lead and prospect qualification, preparing and supporting sales presentations and pitches.
  • Networking: Begin to broaden your network both within and outside KPMG NL. Leverage internal connections to uncover sales opportunities for clients within and beyond the Technology sector. Forge relationships with potential new clients through events and proactive outreach.
  • Business Acumen: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of business operations, financials, KPMG Technology products/solutions, and market trends. Take ownership of developing, implementing, and overseeing sales processes, ensuring alignment with business strategies, optimizing sales workflows, and utilizing sales tools and technologies to enhance outcomes. Stay informed about recent market trends and shifts within the industry, understanding how KPMG NL Technology's offerings align with these trends.
  • Stakeholder Management: Engage with senior management stakeholders within client organizations regarding potential sales opportunities, requiring strong influencing capabilities. Identify sales opportunities within the existing portfolio.

Your Qualifications
  • Fluent in both Dutch and English (verbal and written)
  • Experience in B2B sales, particularly in consultancy and related services
  • Strong analytical abilities and technical expertise
  • Proficient in marketing strategies, goal setting, and lead qualification
  • Experience in developing and presenting propositions
  • Ideally, this is your second or third professional role
  • Team-oriented mindset with a belief in collective success
  • Exceptional organizational skills and efficiency
  • Curious, confident, and humble demeanor
  • Proactive and independent with a hunter mentality, unafraid to organize and plan value-added interactions with clients.

What You Will Achieve in This Role
  • Generate new business opportunities to surpass revenue targets for the firm's service portfolio in key existing accounts.
  • Collaborate with senior management to refine action plans aimed at identifying potential business avenues and growth.
  • Support RFPs and align service offerings.

  • Assist the Cyber and Privacy Commercial Lead in:
    • Conducting commercial and financial evaluations to understand market dynamics and shape growth strategies.
    • Maintaining accurate records of commercial activities, customer interactions, and sales prospects in CRM software and defined processes.
    • Coaching and mentoring team members for their professional and personal development.
