We are seeking a highly skilled New Product Developer to join our team at Independent Recruiters. As a key member of our R&D team, you will be responsible for developing and expanding the field of high protein bars.
Your expertise in formulating high protein bars will be crucial in driving innovation and growth within our company. You will work closely with other professionals to stay updated with the latest advancements in your area of expertise and collaborate on developing innovative and advanced practical knowledge.
Key responsibilities include:
- Influencing and executing the innovation roadmap by collaborating with ingredient experts and identifying opportunities for new application technology, partners, and product development projects.
- Conducting practical work to define the Technical Framework for an ingredient and providing training and support for regional Application Support Technologists and TSS to help launch new innovations or existing ingredients in the market.
- Providing support for more technologically complex application work from regions via responsible regional TSS/Application Support and undertaking the most complex projects, including co-development or development at a customer site, with the most important customers.
- Ensuring that appropriate internal and external training for all regions in your area of expertise is available, using existing tools like Salesforce appropriately to make insights available and actionable to the organization, and maintaining global applied knowledge on specific high protein bar applications.
Requirements for this position include:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in formulating high protein bars.
- A strong technical background in areas such as Food Technology and Product Development.
- Technical expertise in Adult Nutrition and its ingredients, including GOS, DHA, dairy proteins, hydrolysates, and more.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced commercial environment while handling multiple tasks.
- Proactivity, creativity, and relationship building skills.
- Collaborative skills across various departments, including TSS, marketing, product development, sales, supply chain, QA, and customers.
- Knowledge and experience in confectionery.
