R&D Sensory & Consumer Science Intern Role

Embark on a valuable learning journey with our international headquarters in Utrecht, commencing in March 2025. As a R&D Sensory & Consumer Science Intern, you will contribute to the Sensory & Consumer Science Team and assist in designing sensory and/or consumer research studies using statistical techniques for data interpretation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the set-up and briefing of researches, applying your analytical skills to ensure seamless execution.
  • Collaborate in the analysis of sensory and consumer studies, employing various statistical tools to uncover valuable insights.
  • Effectively present and report results, communicating complex findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Embark on a personal project within the first month of placement, aligned with your interests and current project work.

Requirements

  • Academic Program: Currently enrolled in a BSc or MSc program, preferably in Food Science or Technology with a background or understanding of Sensory and/or consumer Science.
  • Skillset: Strong MS Office skills and fluent proficiency in speaking and written English, with some hands-on experience in food research activities a plus.
  • Personal traits: Structured approach, driven and energetic personality, excellent communication and people skills, and the ability to work both in a team and independently.
  • Commitment: Willingness to dedicate at least 5 months to this internship, preferably from March 2025 to August 2025.
  • Availability: Ability to join the internship for 5 days per week, including three days in-office and one or two days remotely.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Your internship should be included in your study curriculum and directly contribute to your academic results.
  • Your educational institution is willing to sign a collaboration agreement with JDE Peet's and when joining our Research departments, also sign an NDA agreement for internships.
  • You are either an EU(EEA) student residing in the Netherlands during the internship or a Non-EU(EEA) student enrolled and living in the Netherlands during the internship.
