Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Financial Data Analyst to join our team at NBCUniversal. This role will focus on accounting, financial analysis, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with monthly and quarterly financial close processes, including analytical reviews and scheduling requirements for quarter-end closing.
  • Prepare and review financial reports, presentations, and performance metrics analysis.
  • Support P&L pacing, overheads, and cash flow forecasting, ensuring accurate postings and account presentation.
  • Liaise with the Assistant Controller to ensure all postings are made correctly and accounts are accurately presented.
  • Act as primary contact for ad-hoc FP&A queries.

Data Analytics & Modeling:

  • Develop and maintain financial models to support commercial and strategic decision-making.
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis to support business operations, identify trends, and recommend actionable insights.
  • Become a super-user of SAP and Power-BI, optimizing automated reporting tools.

Collaboration & Business Partnering:

  • Support the Assistant Controller with day-to-day finance operations, including maintaining accurate financial records and reporting.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to optimize campaign strategies and profitability.
  • Act as a business partner for special finance projects and support the integration of new reporting tools and process improvements.

Special Projects:

  • Participate in finance transformation projects focusing on continuous improvement and finance process optimization.
  • Lead initiatives to improve the monthly close and reporting process and system enhancements.
  • Actively support ad-hoc financial analysis and strategic projects.
  • Work with International Finance OPCOS and HQ to roll out new or best practices and knowledge transfer exchange.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in a similar role in an international business environment.
  • Proven experience of Financial Accounting.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present complex data.
  • Strong Accounting Knowledge.
  • Hands-on experience with financial reporting, modeling, and variance analysis.
  • Proficiency in financial accounting systems (SAP preferred) and strong Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with a collaborative working style.
  • Fluent in English and Dutch (verbal and written).
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a proactive attitude to support cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent Excel and data analysis skills with experience in building models and working with large quantities of data.
  • Proven team player with a drive for continuous improvement and collaborative working style.

Compensation and Benefits:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $80,000-$110,000 based on the location and industry standards. NBCUniversal offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
