The Offshore Consenting team operates on an international scale, engaging in all phases of the offshore wind value chain. Our responsibilities encompass securing necessary permits for Vattenfall's offshore wind projects and ensuring compliance throughout project execution and operational stages.
Currently, Vattenfall is actively involved in the 1.5GW Hollandse Kust Zuid project and has recently acquired rights for the development of the 2GW Zeevonk project. We are excited about the potential future projects in this vital offshore wind sector.
Key Responsibilities
Your role will include the following tasks:
Development of Consenting Strategy
Assessing consenting requirements, risks, and opportunities to guide project selection. Formulating and executing a Consenting Strategy for development projects to facilitate bid preparation.Securing Permits
Identifying, anticipating, and communicating the applicable permits, laws, and regulations for our projects. Ensuring timely applications for and acquisition of necessary permits to maintain project momentum.Ensuring Compliance with Permits
Proactively monitoring and managing our permit obligations and commitments. Collaborating with project teams to ensure full compliance with permit requirements. Engaging with permitting authorities as necessary to support project objectives.Regulatory Oversight
Keeping abreast of regulatory changes that may impact our permits. Participating in regulatory discussions through consultations or industry associations.Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess an analytical mindset combined with robust project management, communication, and interpersonal skills. You should be adept at processing complex information and discerning its implications for our operations. Your ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at various levels is essential.
Experience in international and multidisciplinary teams is crucial, along with the capacity to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong relationship-building skills will enable you to maintain positive interactions across diverse teams. A commitment to health and safety in all work aspects is paramount.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in renewable energy, environmental science, sustainability, spatial planning, public administration, or a related field. Familiarity with (offshore) environmental and spatial planning regulations. Relevant professional experience in permit management for offshore wind projects in the Netherlands is preferred. Alternatively, experience in permit management for other renewable energy or large infrastructure projects is acceptable. Strong project management capabilities. Proficient communication skills in Dutch and English.Benefits
