We are seeking a talented Data Engineer to join our innovative team at Lely, a leading robot producer in Europe. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of data-driven decision-making in dairy farming.

About the Job:

This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires expertise in designing and implementing scalable data pipelines using cloud-based technologies such as Microsoft Azure. As a Data Engineer, you will work closely with our local team in Maassluis, as well as high-end partners in Prague and Sofia, to develop cutting-edge solutions that drive business growth and improve animal welfare.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement efficient data pipelines using Azure Functions, Event Hubs, and Service Bus.
  • Develop and maintain reliable data storage solutions using Azure Storage and Databricks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data APIs and infrastructure as code principles.
  • Provide expert-level guidance on data security and compliance.

Requirements:

  • More than 2 years of experience in data engineering or computer science-related work.
  • In-depth knowledge of distributed systems, cloud computing, and cluster computing.
  • Proficiency in Python, especially in building data pipelines and working with cloud providers.
  • Excellent communication skills and a passion for innovation.
