Unity Partners is a rapidly growing company shaping the future of medical technology. We are seeking an experienced System Software Architect to help define the architecture of an innovative medical wearable device.
About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled architect to lead the development of a wireless, next-generation medical wearable device. You will work closely with a design house and interact with a multidisciplinary team to define the high-level system architecture, both in embedded systems and the cloud.
- Define and architect a wireless medical wearable device, evolving from the current wired version.
- Lead the design of a system that integrates optical sensing for improved signal quality, focusing on near-real-time performance and power budgets.
- Define high-level system requirements and identify potential bottlenecks in hardware and software.
- Work with external design houses and participate in design reviews to ensure the system meets both technical and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants.
- Help define the scope of work in medical sensing technology, particularly related to blood pressure measurement via optical sensing.
Required Skills and Qualifications
We require a candidate with:
- A Master's or PhD in Software Engineering, Electronics, Physics, or a related technical field.
- 5–10 years of hands-on experience in embedded software development, with a strong background in medical devices or regulated industries (automotive, defense, etc.).
- Proven expertise in C/C++ and Python.
- Experience with system design for near-real-time applications and power-efficient solutions.
