Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative to join our team at Holiday Inn Express Deventer. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building relationships with clients, and promoting our hotel services.

About the Role:

  • Revenue Generation: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, ensuring full communication with the sales manager to convert into revenue-generating bookings.
  • Sales Activities: Conduct proactive sales activities, including cold calling, emailing, and networking to build relationships with potential clients.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with the physical product and additional sales opportunities to maximize revenue.
  • Financial Awareness: Understand the department's financial requirements and work towards achieving targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in hotel promotional activities to enhance brand awareness and drive sales.
  • Provide guests with information to enhance their experience, such as loyalty programs, local attractions, and restaurant recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and external contacts to produce group and convention business, including room sales, food and beverage sales, and catering/banqueting services.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to build rapport with clients.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
