At Flexcity, we are seeking a skilled Energy Portfolio Strategist to join our team in Belgium. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in securing and optimizing our portfolio of energy producing and consuming assets.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the decarbonization of our industry and make a tangible impact on our company's growth. You will be responsible for managing daily and yearly tenders of network operators, determining available capacity in our portfolio, and developing a comprehensive bidding strategy based on market information and technical constraints.

You will also work closely with our sales and business development teams to provide flexibility valuation studies and tailored offers to asset owners. Additionally, you will be involved in the evolution of our tools and processes in coordination with our research and development team.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a strong foundation in the energy sector, preferably electricity markets. Your expertise in Ancillary Services and knowledge of network balancing services and regulation of the electricity sector in Belgium will be valuable assets to our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily and yearly tenders of network operators
  • Determine available capacity in our portfolio and develop a comprehensive bidding strategy
  • Work closely with sales and business development teams to provide flexibility valuation studies and tailored offers
  • Contribute to the evolution of our tools and processes in coordination with our research and development team
Requirements
  • Mandatory knowledge in Google Cloud Platform and Python environment
  • Fluent in English and Dutch with other languages considered as a plus
  • Solid foundation in the energy sector, preferably electricity markets
  • Familiarity with network balancing services and regulation of the electricity sector in Belgium
  • Project management experience
What We Offer
