Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a forklift and reach truck, with a preference for licensed operators.
  • Meet quality and productivity metrics, ensuring high levels of accuracy and efficiency in all tasks.
  • Receive and put away inventory, utilizing warehouse management systems to track and manage stock levels.
  • Pick and pack orders, loading and unloading goods with precision and care.
  • Complete paperwork thoroughly and promptly, maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • Load client merchandise accurately and courteously, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Escalate any issues with shipments to the account coordinator, ensuring prompt resolution and minimizing delays.
  • Manage tasks and requests, following up to ensure client needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
  • Responsible for accurate inventory and location management in the warehouse and WMS system.
  • Organize inbound and outbound freight, staging them in designated areas for efficient processing.
  • Report any issues with shipping or receiving to the warehouse team leader or management, ensuring prompt attention and resolution.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines.

Requirements

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and complete basic checklists, forms, or other related documents.
  • Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, balancing individual responsibilities and meeting deadlines.
  • Consistently be at work and on time, with a strong commitment to attendance and punctuality.

Physical Requirements

  • Stand or sit for long periods, with frequent reaching, bending, and lifting.
  • Regularly lift and/or move 25 kilos, with occasional lifting of heavier items.
  • Ability to drive a forklift and/or reach truck, with certification by Crane Worldwide Logistics.
