Financial Director

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our team at European Business Services (EBS). As a Financial Controller, you will be responsible for providing financial insights and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial figures for our EU entities.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  
  
• Timely periodic closing of EU entities
  
  
• Ensure financial figures (balance sheet and P&L) of EU entities are accurate and complete
  
  
• Coordinate and discuss results with business controllers responsible for EU entities
  
  
• Coordinate with our outsourcing partner for accounting services and ensure service levels are met
  
  
• Proactively bring continuous improvement
  
  
• Participate in EU projects on streamlining, standardization, and automation of financial processes and reporting
  
  
• Coordinate audits for EU entities with external auditors and tax department, ensuring timely completion
  
  

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a strong educational background in business studies or business economics, preferably combined with a degree in controlling or accounting (RC, RA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent). You should have at least 6 years of experience in finance, preferably in audit, accounting, or financial control. Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written) are essential.

What We Offer

A gross annual salary of €75,000 to €85,000 based on full-time employment, depending on experience. Attractive bonuses, a first-rate pension plan, 20 vacation days, and the option to buy an additional 12.5 days from your personal 'flex budget' are also on offer.
