Position Overview

As a Senior Engine Calibration Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the advancement of heavy-duty diesel engines, focusing on optimizing engine performance and fine-tuning Electronic Control Unit (ECU) functionalities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute significantly to the calibration and enhancement of mechatronic components integrated within the engine framework.
  • Engage in a variety of engine calibration activities as part of a collaborative team, striving to achieve optimal fuel efficiency and performance within established parameters.
  • Actively identify and pursue opportunities to improve the tools and methodologies utilized in calibration processes.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of test outcomes, tool applications, and potential enhancements for future reference.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to provide comprehensive support across multiple projects.
  • Report directly to the Engineering Supervisor within the Emission Calibration team, ensuring alignment with departmental goals.
Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronics is required.
  • A strong passion and understanding of internal combustion engines is essential.
  • Previous experience in engine testing, particularly with heavy-duty truck engines, is highly advantageous.
  • Familiarity with heavy-duty truck engine calibration processes is a significant plus.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB, including both modeling and scripting capabilities, is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of statistical principles and methodologies is beneficial.
