Production Leadership Role: Mastering Efficiency and Excellence

The Production Manager role at Etex BP Farmsum is a key position that requires a strong leader to oversee the entire production process. As a seasoned manager with 10 years of experience in a production environment, you will be responsible for managing the total production in Delfzijl to ensure that panels are produced according to plan, within a safe and environmentally friendly environment, and in the most efficient way possible.
This leadership role involves directing the production department to achieve efficiency and excellence in all aspects of production. You will work closely with the Operations Manager to define and pursue objectives within the production, develop a long-term vision for the production (Performance plan), and manage different shifts within production.
You will also be responsible for working closely with the responsibilities of supply chain, process, and quality departments, maintenance, HSE, and continuous improvement. The implementation of quality, safety, and environmental regulations and production objectives, as well as monitoring improvements and providing active support, are crucial aspects of this role.
In addition, you will follow up on production results, adjust where necessary, formulate and facilitate improvement proposals, coordinate analysis of production problems, drive solutions, monitor and optimize man- and machine yields and cost prices, lead the morning meeting, and ensure the right content is in place.
As a Production Manager, you will also be responsible for managing and coaching employees, including continuous evaluation and adjustment of the production organization, supporting, advising, and supervising duty supervisors, conducting evaluation interviews, solving interpersonal problems with all production staff, following up on absenteeism due to illness, and proposing actions for improvement.
You will also be responsible for visual management, defining KPIs, managing accordingly, and following up on actions, as well as responsible for the correct entry and administration of production and quality data generated in production.
This role also involves drawing up and managing budgets, including drawing up production budgets, continuously monitoring Opex, CDTs, analyzing budgets, and making adjustments if possible.
Critical success factors for this role include safety, quality, Opex, employee absenteeism, and PTO. Preparing and supervising audits are also essential aspects of this position.
To be successful in this role, you will need a minimum education of HTS+ (preferably WO) focused on (process) technology + management, 10 years of experience as a manager in a production environment, good oral and written knowledge of English, excellent knowledge of Dutch, and required certificates such as VCA-vol.
A salary range of €80,000 - €110,000 per year is estimated for this role, depending on location and experience.
