At Newmark, we're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our European PMO organization, you will be responsible for providing project/construction management services associated with major tenant improvements, space reconfiguration projects, new construction projects, and new infrastructure/upgrade projects within assigned properties.

The Project Manager will ensure that project requirements are being met for our client, addressing critical business needs related to construction in a safe, professional, and cost-effective manner. This role is part of a multi-service, multi-year global contract with an American specialist chemical company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning, coordinating, and managing all phases of construction projects, including project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and close-out.
  • Developing and managing project schedules and budgets for overall financial reporting and cash flow forecasting.
  • Establishing and implementing project objectives, scope, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and ensuring alignment with client requirements.
  • Appointing third-party suppliers required to complete a project in accordance with sourcing processes and procedures.
  • Maintaining effective communication with stakeholders by conducting regular meetings and reporting to provide updates, address challenges, and concerns, and creating strong working relationships.
  • Collaborating with internal and external third parties to monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
  • Carrying out thorough project evaluations and cost control to assess and identify contractor pay requests, value engineering, and timely delivery until close-out.
  • Providing leadership and guidance to the project team, fostering a collaborative, safe, and high-performance work environment.

Addtional Responsibilities/Task:

  • Engaging with EH&S to ensure compliance with safety regulations and implementing project-specific EH&S plans to create safe work environments.
  • Conducting regular site inspections to assess and identify project progress and risks. Monitoring/write Safe Work Permit documents utilizing the Client Global standard to maintain consistent permit issuance, aligning with Life Critical Standards, and confirming that all required trainings are current.
  • Managing project documentation, including drawings and change orders.
  • Verifying compliance with local building codes and regulations.
