About the Role

The Procurement Team at SABIC is responsible for securing uninterrupted supply of goods, materials, and services to our businesses, while creating value for the business. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in managing best-in-class operational processes and maximizing value for money in purchasing and managing materials & services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the availability of goods and services as required, so that manufacturing processes can be executed as planned.
  • Achieve this result at the lowest possible cost by challenging in-company demands, policies, and practices.
  • Deliver a compliant procurement dossier.
  • Ensure compliance to regional legislation, global standards, requirements, policies, and procedures, including EHS.
  • Support on complaint handling and claim.
  • Support on supplier evaluation.
  • Share knowledge of procurement processes and policies with the internal organization.

Requirements

  • Senior secondary vocational education with an enhanced curriculum or higher professional education.
  • Operational purchasing experience and preferably procurement-specific education in the mentioned field.
  • Several years of experience in operational procurement, supply chain, or technical position in a process plant.
  • A minimum of 2 years working experience with internal customer base.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing and materials, preferably a technical and/or chemical background.
  • Steady and robust personality, able to work successfully on a global scale within Shared Services, in a technical environment with turnaround managers, project managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Administrative affinity and knowledge of SAP-MM and Ariba, including accuracy.
  • Fluency in English and Dutch.
