About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Operations team as a Trading Operations Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the success of Shell's Trading and Supply business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assure the optimized operational plan is executed, working closely with logistics and manufacturing sites to understand and resolve any deviations from plan.
  • Develop scenarios to assess feasibility and economic outcomes of various supply options to mitigate supply disruptions and their financial impact.
  • Analyze performance data using available platforms, identify and drive corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives to drive performance and value.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement of ways of working with subject matter experts, collaborate with SME to implement improvements in own area of responsibility.
  • Drive and promote disciplined execution among stakeholders, ensuring focus on the end-to-end mindset and value delivery in the planning process.
  • Act in accordance with Shell's Health Safety Security and Environment (HSSE) guidelines and understand impact of HSSE requirements on own business.

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal skills along with negotiations and stakeholder management skills.
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in the field of Maritime Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics or Shipping.
  • Proven experiences in Commodity operations or a similar operational role.
  • Fluency in Dutch and English combined with another language like German, French or Spanish.
