About this position

TNO is seeking a highly motivated and curious individual to join our team as an Electrofuels Intern. In this role, you will be working on the development of novel catalysts for the electrochemical reduction of CO2 to produce valuable compounds such as ethylene.

What will be your role?

As an Electrofuels Intern, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing literature reviews and gaining a deep understanding of materials science and electrocatalysis
  • Developing and synthesizing nanostructured catalysts using electrodeposition techniques
  • Investigating the scalability of the synthesis process and optimizing the catalyst performance
  • Analyzing experimental data and preparing presentations to share your findings with the team
  • Participating in active discussions with colleagues to share your insights and learn from others

What we expect from you

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in materials science, chemistry, or a related field. You should have a high level of motivation, a curious nature, and a taste for problem-solving. Additionally, you should be able to work autonomously within a small team and have good social skills to collaborate with colleagues.
