Job Vacancy: Medewerker Marine & Ship Vetting Services

SGS Nederland is expanding its team and seeking a Medewerker Marine & Ship Vetting Services. If you have experience as a Deck Officer or 1e Stuurman on oil, chemical, or gas tankers, we want to hear from you.

Job Description

As a Medewerker Marine & Ship Vetting Services, you will be responsible for conducting online checks using various systems to ensure that ships meet safety and quality standards. You will work with clients to initiate and agree on ship inspections, communicate with internal and external inspectors, evaluate and assess inspection reports, and test ships during Port State Controls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily ship vetting requests for clients
  • Initiate and agree on ship inspections with clients and ship owners
  • Communicate with internal and external inspectors
  • Evaluate and assess inspection reports
  • Test ships during Port State Controls
  • Test the quality of classification bureaus, flag states, and operators
  • Analyze maritime accidents and update ship status
Requirements

We are looking for someone with experience as a Deck Officer or 1e Stuurman, familiar with daily ship operations and safety procedures. You should have excellent English language skills and be able to work in a dynamic environment with varying shifts. Experience with CDI/ISIS, OCIMF/SIRE, and IHS systems is a plus.
