We are seeking a skilled Maintenance & Reliability Engineer to join our team at Kerry in Zwijndrecht, Netherlands. Our site produces emulsifiers and acts as a distribution center for food ingredients. As a Maintenance & Reliability Engineer, you will optimize production and process equipment maintenance, making it more predictable and manageable, and reducing downtime due to equipment failure.

Key Responsibilities

As a Maintenance & Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Auditing and refining the Planned & Preventative Maintenance programme, improving inspection and PPM practices.
  • Working with production teams to analyze assets, including utilization, effectiveness, remaining useful life, and other parameters that define operating condition, reliability, and costs.
  • Utilizing Maintenance Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to optimize cost, identify gaps, and improve asset performance.
  • Analyzing equipment breakdown history to identify repetitive failures and designing solutions.
  • Leading and supporting analysis of future equipment and systems failures, using problem-solving and continuous improvement tools.
  • Maintaining master data and updating the Maintenance Management System (SAP-PM).
  • Utilizing KAMPS (Kerry Asset Maintenance System) Process and tools.
  • Acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Maintenance and Reliability.
  • Supporting the training, assessment, and evaluation of site production and maintenance teams.
  • Maintaining a broad knowledge of industry trends and new technology innovation in Maintenance and Reliability to enhance Kerry manufacturing and operational capabilities.

Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, we are looking for a positive can-do attitude, qualifications, and experience as a Maintenance & Reliability Engineer. The ideal candidate will ideally have:

  • A degree in Engineering, Asset Integrity Management, or Maintenance & Asset Management.
  • Experience in a similar Maintenance/Reliability Engineering position, with manufacturing industry experience essential, and knowledge of food, chemical industry, and food safety compliance highly desirable.
  • A proven track record of building solid working relationships.
  • Strong computer skills in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
  • Proficiency in RCM, RCA, and FMEA.
  • Lean & 6 Sigma.
