As a Desktop Support Specialist at GfK, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our global users. This includes troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues, as well as maintaining stock levels and updating asset registers. You will also be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining desktops, laptops, and peripherals, as well as providing remote support to users across EMEA.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1st and 2nd level end-user support for hardware, software, and network-related issues
Maintain stock levels across EMEA and update asset registers
Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, and peripherals
Provide remote support to users across EMEA
Assist in the secure disposal of old hardware in line with security policies
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of experience in desktop support or a related field
Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Active Directory, Azure AD, Office365, Share Point/One Drive
Experience with VDI infrastructure is beneficial
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide effective customer support
Basic understanding of IT security principles and practices
