As a Global Validation Specialist at DAF, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our engines and trucks. Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with various departments to develop and maintain accurate Design Verification Plans and Reports (DVP&R) that mitigate risks and support powertrain and vehicle program timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain DVP&R to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Collaborate with engineering, safety, and compliance departments to identify and mitigate risks associated with engine and truck development.
- Assist in developing test protocols for global test departments to ensure accurate and reliable testing.
- Support program management with validation budget details, including test equipment.
- Develop comprehensive test plans aligned with powertrain and vehicle programs.
- Perform supplier visits to evaluate and establish test protocols and DVP&R.
- Communicate project updates, risks, and opportunities for improvement to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- At least 5 years of product development experience.
- Prior experience with risk mitigation methods such as DFMEA and DVP&R.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work with a team to achieve timely objectives.
- Resourceful with a problem-solving approach and a passion for delivering top-quality results.
- Prior experience managing data using Excel or similar tools.
