Overview

The Financial Markets Operations team is tasked with ensuring the accurate and timely management of all Financial Markets products. This organization comprises various processing units and Expert Teams dedicated to the overall governance and enhancement of their specific domains.

The newly established Expert Team for Product Control Operations aims to provide high-quality reports and analyses concerning Financial Markets Profit and Loss (P&L) and Market Risk, collaborating closely with teams within ING Hubs. Over the coming years, this team will expand its responsibilities by assuming operational duties related to Profit and Loss and Risk Reporting, standardizing these processes across different locations, and enhancing and automating them wherever feasible. Additionally, the team will actively monitor and refine the performance of the IT value chain, instituting controls to guarantee timeliness, completeness, and accuracy across all involved systems.

Your Role and Key Responsibilities

As a Consultant in Operations, you will be responsible for the design, execution, and oversight of the Product Control Reporting processes. You will analyze challenges encountered in the reporting workflow, such as inaccuracies in P&L reporting on Trades or Books, or deficiencies in the (IT) value chain that lead to delays in reporting. You will initiate the implementation of solutions, whether they pertain to processes or systems. Collaboration with colleagues from Trading Risk Management, ING Hubs, and Technology will be essential to foster an environment of continuous improvement and to establish metrics for monitoring the performance of the reporting processes.

Furthermore, you should possess:

  • A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant work experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Derivatives products and Financial Risk factors, along with an understanding of Data flows and a drive for improvement
  • Experience in Financial Markets, Market Risk, or Operations settings
  • Familiarity with Derivatives products
  • A background in delivering process enhancements in collaboration with IT
  • Experience in Data analytics, Robotics, or Alteryx is advantageous
