Power Electronics Specialist

As a Power Electronics Specialist at Talentials, you will be an integral part of our Research & Development department located in The Netherlands and Cluj-Napoca. Your primary responsibility will be Product Development of switch mode power supplies (SMPS) and other Power Electronics Products.

You will work 90% from Almelo but collaborate with colleagues from other locations in Romania and Germany. Your daily tasks will include:

  • Performing calculations and simulations as proof of concept for chosen topologies
  • Conducting tests to incorporate new technology into the design
  • Developing products ready for manufacturing, including schematic design, PCB layout, component selection, and component design
  • Overseeing mechanical design delegation and monitoring
  • Ensuring environmental, reliability, and safety qualification of designs
  • Analyzing errors in manufacturing during various design phases
  • Supporting Purchasing with component obsolescence and Sales with initial design requests, prototypes, and testing
  • Leveraging your expertise to lead functional areas of Electronic Design and contribute to future development and Technology Roadmap
  • Counseling junior Electronic Design Engineers or trainees

Your ideal background should include:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics or a related field
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in Power Electronics
  • Experience in hardware design from scratch with the ability to read schematics
  • The capacity to manage and prioritize multiple diverse projects simultaneously
  • A methodical work approach
  • Initiative and self-management skills
  • Flexibility, discipline, results-orientation, and planning/organizing abilities
  • Fluency in Dutch and confidence in English (B2), with German being an advantage but not mandatory

We offer a competitive salary range of €85,000 - €110,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. Additionally, you can expect:
