Job Title: Labs/Shelf Life Intern

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Labs/Shelf Life Intern to join our team at The Kraft Heinz Company. As a Labs/Shelf Life Intern, you will be responsible for assisting in the development and validation of a Shelf Life model for Sauces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and validation of a Shelf Life model for Sauces
  • Conduct Chemical, Physical, and Sensorial analysis to build a prediction model for Shelf Life
  • Validate Emulsions & Non Emulsions Sauces by Shelf Life modeling
  • Review relevant literature and perform Chemical, Physical, and Packaging analyses
  • Perform Flavours Analysis – Gas Chromatography
  • Update and create reports about the Shelf Life sauces model
  • Develop and validate the protocol and model
  • Create reports on new packaging validation for other sauces
  • Execute practical activities, including shelf life tasting and lab analysis
  • Create periodic reports and presentations to keep the team informed about findings and progress

Requirements:

  • Food Technology Quality Management/Process Engineering/Food Chemistry/Food Microbiology Bachelor/Master student
  • Had classes on chromatography (GC, HPLC), chemical analysis (titration, Soxhlet), water content, water activity, and rheometer
  • Experience in lab analysis is crucial
  • Experience in modeling of data is a plus
  • You are curious and eager to learn, can work independently and in a team, and are accurate with your work
  • You should have strong communication skills and fluency in English, both written and verbal (Dutch is not a requirement but other languages are a plus)
  • You are enrolled at a university for at least 50% study load for the duration of the internship
  • EU working rights are required
