As a PhD researcher in our Intelligent and Autonomous Systems group, you will be part of a dynamic team driven to push the boundaries of artificial intelligence.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our research project, Align4Energy, which aims to make energy use in Dutch homes more sustainable. Your role will involve developing novel human-centric AI algorithms and techniques to enable seamless interactions between humans and AI systems.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a range of exciting topics, including:
- Developing AI learning, planning, and optimization methods that can propose multiple solutions upon request, allowing for adaptation and refinement over time.
- Creating dynamic world and user models that can maintain their accuracy through interpreting direct and indirect feedback from users.
- Designing enhanced algorithms for explaining AI decisions/recommendations that are interactive and responsive to user feedback.
- Exploring novel techniques for collaborative solution exploration in human-AI teams.
You will receive a competitive salary and benefits package, including a gross monthly salary of € 2,781 during the first year, increasing to €3,562 over the four-year period. Additionally, you will enjoy flexible scheduling and help with housing for expat employees.
