Role Description

The Advanced Operations Coordinator will be responsible for conducting all short-term site planning activities for a wind farm to ensure all daily planning coordination activities are accurately and timely completed. This includes providing general administrative support and ensuring the smooth operation of one or two dedicated sites. The role involves dispatching technicians for the site, working on a rotation schedule of 4 days on / 4 days off, and being available during weekends and public holidays.

The day starts with a briefing of the technicians going out to the turbines, informing the teams about the work scheduled for them and the weather conditions. The Advanced Operations Coordinator must verify that technicians are ready to safety transfer to the offshore wind turbine equipped with the right instructions, tools, and materials. The day will be closed with a debriefing, collecting feedback from the team leader, verifying hours and materials consumed to be able to close out the service orders.

The Advanced Operations Coordinator is responsible for maintaining efficient timescales for planned maintenance activities, creating daily and weekly plans for site teams as required in conjunction with the Senior Technician and Operational Planner. This includes monitoring weather conditions and employee safety outside, daily checking on progress with the Team leader, and getting the status of work progress for the next day. The role also involves work preparation of planning and assigning foreseen (scheduled maintenance) and unforeseen (unscheduled maintenance) work to the teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining efficient timescales for planned maintenance activities
  • Creating daily and weekly plans for site teams as required
  • Monitoring weather conditions and employee safety outside
  • Daily checking on progress with the Team leader
  • Getting the status of work progress for the next day
  • Work preparation of planning and assigning foreseen and unforeseen work to the teams

The Advanced Operations Coordinator will work closely with the Team leader, Senior Technician, and Operational Planner to ensure the smooth operation of the wind farm. The role requires strong communication skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a strong sense of responsibility.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Fluent English language skills
  • Completed secondary education and preferably a technical background
  • Relevant work experience as a Service Coordinator (Planner), having scheduled employees as well as parts and tools
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation is a plus
  • Stress-resistant and a great sense of responsibility
  • Good communication skills and ability to communicate efficiently and confidently with stakeholders
  • Solid computer skills, MS office
