Job Title: QMS Manager / Designated Person Ashore

Seatrade Groningen B.V. is seeking an experienced QMS Manager / Designated Person Ashore to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our global fleet.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procedures to ensure compliance with international, statutory, class, and local regulations.
  • Oversee the maintenance of valid Flag-State, Class, IMO, and MARPOL-required certificates.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to Marine Superintendents, DPA Italy, Fleetteam Operators, and the RFMO Compliance Officer.
  • Coordinate security measures for high-risk voyages and act as the Company Security Officer (CSO).
  • Ensure ISM/ISO compliance both onboard and ashore, and manage internal and external audits.
  • Offer expert advice on changes in class, flag, or ownership of vessels.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in maritime studies, with at least 5 years of sea experience (Captain-level preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years in a (semi) managerial position in a relevant field.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills with a team-oriented approach.
  • Exceptional communication skills in both English and Dutch.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities, particularly under high-pressure situations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and database applications, with excellent analytical skills.
