The Strategic Accounting Expert will be responsible for improving the accounting processes within SNV's global accounting team. This involves analyzing financial data, providing accurate and timely financial reports, and identifying areas for process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.">
  • Provide training and support to country finance teams on accounting procedures and best practices.">
  • Work closely with the global audit team to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.">
  • Identify and propose solutions to minimize financial risks.">
  • C coordinate the global audit of all 20+ countries and consolidate the annual accounts of SNV.">

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Qualifications

  • ">
  • A Master's degree in accounting, finance or equivalent by experience.">
  • 5+ years of relevant and demonstrable experience in accounting.">
  • Solid expertise in periodic close and financial reporting processes of group companies.">
  • Knowledge of accounting standards (SNV applies for group financial statements Dutch GAAP).">
  • Financial statements preparation and hands-on experience with underlying accounting processes.">
  • Analytical and conceptual thinking skills.">
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and prioritize.">
  • Team player, good facilitator, excellent communicator also in multi-cultural settings.">
  • Fluency in English is required. Fluency in French is an added advantage.">
  • Working experience with IT financial systems; SAP Business by Design is preferred.">
  • Proven cultural awareness while working in an international setting.">

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
