Python Backend Developer

As a Python Backend Developer at STAFIDE, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining complex backend applications using Python, RESTful APIs, and microservices architectures. You will leverage your expertise in Azure Functions, MSSQL, FastAPI, Docker, and Azure Service Bus to build scalable, efficient solutions. Additionally, you will integrate third-party APIs and services into our ecosystem, write and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure high-quality, reliable code, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile environments to deliver features and solutions efficiently. You will also use Azure pipelines or similar CI/CD tools for continuous integration and delivery, apply your understanding of software design patterns, testing strategies, and architecture principles to ensure system integrity and scalability, conduct performance tuning and optimization of applications for maximum efficiency, and mentor and support junior developers, fostering a culture of learning and improvement.
Requirements
As a Python Backend Developer, you will have 6-8 years of experience in backend development, with at least 5 years of hands-on Python experience. You will have strong experience developing applications using RESTful APIs and microservices, hands-on experience with Azure functions, MSSQL, FastAPI, Docker, and Azure Service Bus, proven experience integrating third-party APIs and writing comprehensive unit and integration tests, familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, especially Azure pipelines, a solid understanding of software design patterns and testing methodologies, previous experience with performance tuning and system optimization, a relevant degree or equivalent experience in web development technologies and Agile methodologies, and fluency in English. You will also be based in or willing to work in a hybrid role within The Netherlands. You should possess the ability to adapt quickly to changing requirements and handle multiple tasks efficiently, collaborate effectively within teams and cross-functional teams, guide and mentor junior developers to build their skills, and understand and address customer needs, focusing on delivering solutions that meet business objectives.
