Role Overview

In this position, you will be responsible for:

  • Gathering, examining, and interpreting primary data from centralized data repositories related to front-office operations and external market data from NN Bank's product offerings.
  • Evaluating extensive datasets to ensure compliance with established standards, addressing any identified risks, and reporting data quality concerns to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with data custodians to improve data governance practices.
  • Understanding the compliance requirements of data management.
  • Providing guidance on proper data interpretation and actively contributing to initiatives aimed at enhancing data quality.
  • Conveying complex analytical findings and technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Maintaining close communication with various internal and external stakeholders, and advocating for the resolution of data issues affecting external entities.
  • Keeping abreast of the latest trends in data analytics, risk management, and regulatory standards pertinent to the banking sector.

Your Profile

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical capabilities and a holistic view of data. Excellent communication skills are essential for engaging with diverse stakeholders and simplifying complex information. Additionally, you should meet the following criteria:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Information Systems, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the financial services sector, with a preference for expertise in data management, analysis, and data quality reporting.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Power BI, Azure Databricks, Python, SAS, SQL, and/or version control software, or a willingness to learn.
  • Basic understanding of regulatory and business requirements for Credit Risk (e.g., AIRB, IFRS9, Stress testing) and ALM Risk models, or a willingness to acquire this knowledge.
  • Professional proficiency in both Dutch and English, with the ability to communicate effectively with senior management.
  • Attention to detail and the capability to identify data discrepancies, conducting root cause analysis and monitoring.

Collaboration

As a member of NN Bank's Data Management Office (DMO), you will operate within the Risk (CRO) domain, focusing on the collection and delivery of high-quality data for finance and risk modeling and reporting.
