Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Bolton Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement activities for one of our key categories, overseeing the end-to-end procurement process, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement effective procurement strategies for the product category in your portfolio.
- Supplier Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate commercial agreements, and ensure compliance with terms and conditions.
- Cost Management: Monitor and control procurement costs, seeking cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or on-time delivery performance of the suppliers.
- Tendering Process: Lead and coordinate the tendering process for goods, evaluate proposals, and select suppliers, taking into account total cost of ownership.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with QA and SHE teams to ensure that procured materials meet quality standards and agreed-upon specifications.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the procurement process, including single-sourced products, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Contract Administration: Draft and review contracts, ensuring clarity of terms and conditions; coordinate with the legal department to ensure adherence to legal requirements.
- Communication: Maintain open communication channels with internal teams, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure smooth procurement processes.
- Compliance: Work with suppliers and internal teams to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience as a buyer or in a related field.
- Good negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective vendor relationships.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills are essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are required.
- Experience using ERP software (preferably SAP), Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is preferred.
