We are seeking a seasoned Global Product Manager to drive the growth of our bean market. As a key member of our international seed company, you will play a crucial role in shaping our global crop strategy and driving business outcomes.

About the Role

  • Develop and execute a clear crop strategy for beans, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market trends.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to design and implement trial plans, evaluate data, and make informed decisions to optimize our bean assortment.
  • Foster strong relationships with R&D, sales, and seed supply stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration and communication.
  • Utilize Salesforce effectively to store customer data, analyze CRM insights, and inform portfolio strategy decisions.
  • Collaborate with Breeding and Sales to set mid/long-term breeding objectives, priorities, and product specifications.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the food supply chain, identify challenges, and develop relevant solutions for our partners.
  • Monitor margin development and advise on value-based pricing strategies.
  • Utilize Mercado to focus trial evaluations and drive business outcomes.
  • Contribute to the annual performance review process with breeding, seed supply, and finance teams.
  • Travel extensively (75% of time) across Europe and the United States to evaluate trials and engage with customers.

About You

  • Hold a minimum of a BS degree in Agronomy with 5+ years of experience in the international seed industry, preferably in vegetable seeds.
  • Demonstrate a helicopter view, connecting dots and steering outcomes to achieve business goals.
  • Be goal-oriented with a team-oriented mindset, celebrating successes and driving achievement together.
  • Show natural leadership abilities and cultural agility when working with diverse teams and cultures.
  • Comfortably work with matrix interfaces and possess excellent communication skills.
  • Be fluent in spoken and written English; additional languages are an asset.
