Plant Controller

Job Summary

Envalior is seeking a highly skilled Plant Controller - Financial Operations Specialist to join our dynamic financial team. As a key member of our Plant Management Team, you will be responsible for the operational control activities of our Emmen production site.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a proactive business partner with strong analytical skills to understand financial performance numbers and metrics and their underlying business drivers.
• Lead change in a dynamic and rapidly changing business environment while ensuring effective stakeholder management.
• Present fact-based stories on site performance and drive value accordingly in senior stakeholder meetings.
• Operate as an integrated part of global and site teams in Envalior.
• Work on optimizing and harmonizing financial processes and reporting, and implementing best practices, including strategic restructuring projects with impact on ICT Finance systems.
• Effectively operate in virtual teams across the region and globe, with multiple stakeholders (in- and outside of Envalior).
• Own the budgeting and forecasting process of plant CAPEX and FOOP, and provide explanations, analysis, and recommendations to Site Controller and Plant Management.
• Act as a gatekeeper of product costing/raw material/cycle design & output consumption analysis and support category management and business decisions for the site.
• Review important business cases and provide support to the Continuous Improvement, Business Operations Strategy analyses, etc.
• Review of capital expenditure proposal(s) and finalize IRR assessments.
• Execute the job within the applicable QESH structure and system, provide proposals for further enhancing the QESH structure and system to contribute to ensuring a safe and healthy working place for employees.

Requirements

• Master's degree in accounting/finance.
• Finance professional with broad knowledge of and track record in Finance and Control processes in various businesses/operations/SCM/manufacturing environments.
• Ability to manage a complex network of stakeholders.
• Experience in project management, including digitalization of financial processes.
• Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
• Familiarity with IFRS.
• Experience with SAP (Product costing, project management, FICO).
• Experience with SAP BW and PowerBI is a plus.
• Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.
• Experience with Dutch business environments is preferred (incl knowledge / strong willingness to learn / and working closely with specialists to ensure compliance with local tax and financial reporting requirements, in particular for Belgium).
• Fluent in English and Dutch.
