As a Lead Data Engineering Consultant at Artefact, you'll be part of a collaborative and dynamic team that's pushing the boundaries of what's possible with data. You'll have the opportunity to work on impactful projects, shape the technical development of the team, and contribute to our knowledge sharing and community engagement.
About the Role
- Lead and execute data-driven projects, managing concept and implementation while thinking about performance and scalability.
- Shape the technical development of the team, fostering growth through mentoring and sharing best practices in data engineering.
- Expand Artefact's technical footprint by engaging with tech communities, contributing to internal knowledge sharing, and staying ahead with industry trends.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with consultants, data scientists, analysts, and engineers to identify client needs and craft end-to-end data solutions.
- Communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders, and be an inspiring mentor, leading training sessions and workshops.
What We're Looking For
- Fluency in English is a must, with bonus points for Dutch or French speakers.
- Academic level education (Master's) in a technical field.
- 4+ years of experience in a data-driven environment, with a proven history of translating business problems into technical solutions.
- 2+ years of experience in mentoring technical talents.
- Strong drive to deliver production-worthy solutions efficiently, and a willingness to learn and develop strong soft skills.
Technical Requirements
- Good knowledge of best practices with Python and SQL.
- Software engineer mindset with Design Patterns knowledge.
- Familiarity with cloud environments such as Azure, GCP, Databricks, or AWS.
- Proficient with various modern data storage solutions and concepts.
- Experience with modern data tools.
- Proficient with automation (CI/CD, API-first).
