Sales Manager Role OverviewThis role contributes to our vision, goals, and values by maximizing overall revenue and performance throughout the property. The Sales Manager will work closely with the Director of Sales to determine sales strategies in key market segments, supporting revenue objectives.
- Drive Market Share and revenue performance for the property
- Develop and implement strategies by segment and relevant distribution channels
- Work with the revenue team to set Sales strategies and drive commercial action
The Sales Manager will be responsible for:
- Driving Market Share and revenue performance for the property
- Developing and implementing strategies by segment and relevant distribution channels
- Working with the revenue team to set Sales strategies and drive commercial action
- Presenting and contributing during monthly owner's and budget meetings on key actions undertaken
- Managing, coaching, and developing a sales culture for the property
- Creating and developing a robust sales plan for the property with key internal stakeholders
- Developing, monitoring, and adjusting sales and groups strategies as required based on business needs
- Reviewing sales account production monthly with revenue to identify patterns and volume of production to agree appropriate actions are taken
- Working with Marketing to put together promotions during low demand periods, value-add promotions, and event periods
- Negotiating room rates and packages with corporate clients
- Attending Sales events when required
- Reporting on a weekly/monthly basis all pipeline, contracts won, key activity in the month and next, top, and bottom performing accounts
- Answering customer queries in a timely and suitable manner
- Working within current business strategies and recognizing potential opportunities
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Acknowledged sales experience within a hotel branded environment
- Understanding of sales within a hotel branded environment
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and relationship skills
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills
- Analytical approach to sales and ability to think outside the box
- Effective ability to supervise, motivate, coach, and develop teams
- Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations
- Demonstrate self-confidence, energy, enthusiasm, and be a motivator
- Ability to adapt to a frequently changing market environment
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
The estimated salary for this role is €60,000 - €80,000 per year, depending on experience. Additional benefits include health insurance, pension scheme, and training opportunities.
