Global Beauty Product Management Director

Estimated salary range for this position in the Netherlands is between €120,000 and €180,000 per year, depending on experience.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Consumer Marketing Manager Beauty to lead our product management efforts in the beauty category. As a key member of our Business Grooming & Beauty team, you will be responsible for steering the product development process from start to finish, working closely with various disciplines such as Innovation, Technology & Development departments, internal and external design agencies, manufacturing units or external suppliers, marketing management, marketing communication, and international sales organizations.
Responsibilities
- Steer the integral product development process from start to end, taking initial ideas through to product development and market introduction, including communication.
- Interact with various disciplines to maximize the performance of existing products and portfolios through commercial innovation while phasing out old or underperforming ones to optimize integral business performance.
- Analyze the market, competition, technology, and developments to find new business opportunities with new product-market combinations within the business strategy.
- Work closely with the Consumer Marketing Director and other stakeholders to drive business growth and results.
Requirements
- A completed Master degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related fields with an excellent academic track record (an MBA is an extra asset).
- 12+ years of experience in a (preferably matrixed) international business environment in the field of consumer marketing or product management (experience with personal care products is a plus).
- 6+ years of experience with product development and product launches from start to finish.
- 2+ years Market GTM experience in consumer category will be an advantage.
- Experience with translating market research and shopper insights into product concepts and new propositions.
- Proven track record with global consumer/retail brands with a demonstrated ability to work with multiple and diverse markets.
- Highly entrepreneurial; both analytical and hands-on to driving business growth (result-oriented).
- Ability to think creatively while being firm enough to make and act upon clear decisions.
- Excellent communication skills: ability to work with people of different seniority and backgrounds, informing, influencing, convincing, presenting, project management.
- Business fluency in English (written & verbal) and one other language as an advantage.
