Hunkemöller is on the lookout for a dedicated and proactive Country Controller to enhance our International Headquarters team:
Position Overview:
Hunkemöller stands as the leading lingerie retailer in Central/Northern Europe within the affordable fashion sector, boasting a robust market presence and significant brand recognition. To sustain our growth trajectory, we seek individuals with a positive mindset who are eager to propel our business forward. In this context, we are in search of a Country Controller who will report directly to our Head of Controlling.
Key Responsibilities:
Area 1: Internal Reporting
Develop, assess, and clarify periodic (monthly and yearly) internal reports Prepare, evaluate, and elucidate budget figures Generate periodic (monthly, yearly, and budget) reports for stakeholders Analyze store performance and/or online channels Conduct labor cost assessments and planning for store hours Prepare and interpret KPI reports Review investment proposals and provide feasibility recommendations.Area 2: External Reporting
Compile statutory annual reports and coordinate corporate income tax submissions (working alongside external Tax Advisors) Ensure timely and accurate filing of annual reports, corporate income tax returns, and other mandatory submissions Follow up on fiscal guidance regarding capital structure and provisions.Area 3: Advisory Role
Identify avenues for profit enhancement and offer strategic advice Recognize opportunities/risks in tax positions (e.g., transfer pricing) and provide insights Suggest improvements to processes within the organization Proactively engage with the Director of Retail, HR Managers, Head of Controlling, and other management on economic and organizational issues.Area 4: Project Management
Oversee and contribute to projects aimed at enhancing internal information systems, reports, and procedures. Support other financial processes as needed.The ideal candidate for this pivotal role at Hunkemöller will possess:
A degree in Economics from a University/Business School and approximately 5 years of relevant experience in a preferably international and dynamic environment Experience in a private equity context, with a preference for retail exposure A senior approach to prioritizing tasks, deadlines, and objectives within the team A results-driven mindset and strong analytical skills Excellent professional communication abilities, both internally and externally An entrepreneurial mindset Proficiency in English (both verbal and written) Familiarity with MS Office Knowledge of SAP and consolidation tools (Onestream) is advantageous.Hunkemöller aims to be a beloved global brand, fostering a workplace where individuals take pride in their contributions and become true brand ambassadors.
