Category Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Category Manager to join our team at Picnic, Europe's fastest growing online supermarket. As a Category Manager, you will be responsible for driving the growth and profitability of our product categories, working closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute commercial strategies.
Key responsibilities include building and maintaining deep category knowledge, identifying commercial opportunities, and collaborating with suppliers to improve product quality and profitability. You will also be responsible for managing stakeholders, including design agencies and supply chain partners, and negotiating contracts with suppliers.
Requirements- Master's degree with exposure to analytical problem-solving
- 1-4 years of work experience, preferably as (junior) category manager in a commercial and analytical environment
- Commercial drive, a nose for opportunities, and negotiation skills
- Persistence and enthusiasm to drive projects to a successful end result
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills
- Drive to deal with day-to-day operations and swift problem-solving skills
- A genuine passion for food and/or consumer products
- Fluent in Dutch and English
